The Foot Pain's Connected To The Back Pain...Plantar fasciitis is probably one of the most common reasons to visit a doctor. Technically, it is inflammation of the tendon of the plantar fascia. This often causes a bone spur in the heel. The cause of this problem can be a little complicated; however, in general, there will often be of partial nerve root irritation in the base of the low back causing abnormal muscle tone in the foot and heel. There is often abnormal muscle tone in the calf and hamstring. Very often the solution can be stretching of the foot, calf, and hamstring muscles. Anti-inflammatories such as Advil and Motrin can help reduce the inflammation in the back and foot, thereby reducing some of the nerve root irritation. Orthotics can be helpful but often only answer part of the problem. |
